FMP (Final Major Project) Initial Research Ideas: William Latham

William Latham is a British artist who has worked with computers since the 1980s. He became well known for his work with fractals. He used genetic coding to produce sequences of binary code that he then inputted into software that he wrote at IBM. This software then produced visualisations of the code, which he then rendered, colorised and began to animate. See Figure 1 below for an example of the results.
